War’s a ravenous beast—devouring lives, scarring the innocent. When will it end? Seek truth at Ashesonair.org.

Gaza’s desalination plant lost power March 9, 2025, denying 250,000 water by March 11, per Al Jazeera—Israel cut electricity, aid stopped March 2. Hamas took 251 hostages October 7, 2023, per IDF—101 held, some tortured, per Reuters. Both violate civilians—UN cites Geneva Conventions, Article 33 (no collective punishment) for Gaza; Article 34 (no torture) for Hamas, per Amnesty. Sudan’s 8 million displaced (UNHCR, 2023), Ukraine’s 9,000+ civilian deaths (OHCHR, 2022-2025)—94% of urban explosive casualties are civilians (UN, 2023). The innocent—Gaza’s kids, Israel’s captives—suffer most.

Geneva Conventions shield civilians—water, lives—but fail. Israel blames Hamas tunnels (Times of Israel, March 11), Hamas cites resistance (Al Monitor, 2024)—neither stops the toll. ICRC notes 500+ Yemen strikes since 2015; 50+ Syrian hospitals gone by 2020. ICC’s 17 cases in 2025 falter—enforcement fades. RAND tracks 75% war restarts since 1945—peace fails 60% in five years (2022). Over 5,000 years, 14,000+ wars (Hedges, 2003)—200+ burn now (UCDP, 2025). No victor—just civilian loss.

War’s beast thrives on apathy—the innocent pay dearest. Stand up: join a peace march via peacealliance.org—demand IHL enforcement, both sides. Division blinds—war destroys water, freedom, hope while people stall. The innocent bleed most—94% proves it—driving this call. March now; cage this beast—5,000 years of civilian pain demands action.
